All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full-Time, Monday - Friday, (On Call and After-Hours Rotation) **The role you’ll contribute:** The Epic Technical Architect is responsible for overseeing, leading, and developing application and/or workflow solutions to meet organizational needs. Designs solutions designed as a template that are scalable across systems/modules. Operates as a cross-functional application domain leader as needed. Provides deep subject matter build expertise in application/systems and ensures cross-functional integration of projects and assignments. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + Leads consensus building activities with end users, operational leaders, physicians, and designated staff for the purpose of implementing solutions and/or resolving issues which may involve multiple applications and/or technical teams. Helps set standards around domain expertise for all teams. + Leads and facilitates in defining the architecture of an application/system to fulfill requirements: gather business requirements; document current/future state workflows; gap analysis; develop plans; process and requirement analysis, including process mapping through current flowcharts, documenting plans, requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering on complex projects. + Responsible for completing gap analysis, and providing technology and resource recommendations. + Oversees the analysis, implementation and testing of updates, changes and maintenance to Epic modules and related applications. Ensures end-users/business owners are notified. + Serves as the application expert to team members and end-users/business owners on application integration and touch point areas. + Leads in development of application and system style guides and nomenclature, as well as in service recovery work: gathers issues; develops fixes/solutions; implements and monitors solutions. + Must possess strong organizational skills to monitor progress + Provides technical guidance and oversight to highly complex and enterprise-wide implementations. + Communicates clearly and effectively with team members, other AIT teams, customers, vendors, management, and AIT leadership. + Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the AIT department and in order to comply with AH policy and procedures. + Works independently, with minimal supervision, under the direction and support of the Manager or Director + Architects integration environment (including Epic Bridges and MyChart and Chronicles) + Leads team in design of integration environment, oversees interface technical design, and serves as an expert for the organization in healthcare integration + Coordinates with other AIT teams on major projects, provides resource assignment for projects and requests at manager's discretion + Oversees the integration technical environment, responsible for managing the smooth operation and coordination of production and non-production integration environments + Assists management in keeping the integration department compliant with AIT processes and procedures (ex: Data Security, Hitrust, and AIT policies directly affecting integration) + Serves as a point of escalation for technical problems and incidents, and exercises good judgement in helping team members to resolve the most complex issues + Participates in 24X7 on-call rotation Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS STRONGLY PREFERRED** **:** + Ability to logically read and comprehend technical and/or functional manuals and instructions + Research and analysis skills to design new interface architecture or enhance existing interface architecture for complex solutions + Extensive knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design/programming techniques. + Knowledgeable, experienced, and proficient in multiple Epic modules. + Ability to determine issue impact and resolve complex issues in stressful situations + In-depth knowledge of healthcare interoperability concepts and architecture (such as: Epic, Cerner, Athena or other EMR interoperability functionality) + 3 years of technical architecture experience + Subject matter expert in Epic workflows from build, workflow, and infrastructure + Experience coordinating and managing competing priorities and issues to facilitate appropriate client support and escalation of issues + Integration development experience (such as mapping, scripting, connectivity, and configuration) + Troubleshooting experience + Experience providing technical oversight for complex projects through project life cycle + Experience clearly communicating complex ideas and problems to team members and leadership + Experience leading and working on multiple complex projects concurrently **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED** **:** + Knowledge of HL7 standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA) + Knowledge of scripting languages (such as TCL, Korn Shell, FSI Scripting or comparable) + Knowledge of interface engines and their architecture (such as Health Connect, Epic Bridges, Cloverleaf, Cerner Open Engine, or comparable interface engine) + Experience in programming and problem analysis + 4-6 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development – database and middleware technologies is preferred + Experience of systems integration or HL7 interface development experience (such as designing, building, programming, installing and supporting HL7 interfaces) + Experience with MDM (mobile device management) **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:** + Bachelor's degree in a field of study such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent IT work experience **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED** **:** + **EpicCare Bridges Required** + **EpicCare Ambulatory** **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED** **:** + •Epic Bridges (or obtain within 6 months of hire date) **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED** **:** + **EpicCare Ambulatory** This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
