Epic Analyst-HIM (Health Information Management)

Salary Range: $54,846.00 - 87,754.00 USD Annually

Job Description

Acts as primary support contact for their application area. 
Coordinates all issues that arise within their application area. 
Understand the choices involved in application configuration. 
Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other 
technical issues associated with Epic Software. 
Investigates users’ preference while making build decisions. 
Analyzes business operations as they relate to build decisions. 
Prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system. 
Analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used. 
Populates databases during the initial system build with assistance from Epic. 
Prepares details of specifications as needed. 
Analyzes data conversion needs. 
Ensures that data coming across an interface into an Epic Application meets the business 
needs. 
Develops and documents project team procedures for implementing system changes and 
other tasks. 
Serves as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff. 
Maintains regular communication with Epic representatives. 
Works with Epic representatives and AMHS’s end users to ensure the system meets the 
organization's business needs. 
Helps Epic staff to better understand AMHS’s operational needs as they work with the 
AMHS project team and end users to set the direction for AMHS’s workflows and system 
configuration based on Epic's Foundation System (Epic’s starter set package). 
Participates in training and working with end users. 
Troubleshoot problems and questions from end users.
Works with report writers to ensure that the application has the necessary reports. 
Coordinates software updates and changes. 
Reviews and tests each new release. 
Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
Licensure, Certification & Registration: 
Must become Epic certified within the time outlined upon hire. 
Experience: 
3+ years of relevant experience 
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 
Ability to learn quickly and manages complex workflows independently.
