What You'll Do

The Buy Desk Sr Analyst is responsible to support the Global Procurement organization by guiding business users through the buying process, from initiating Purchase Requisition to creating, modifying, maintaining Purchase Order, and sourcing support for tail end spend ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of procurement operations, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate seamless purchasing activities

Assist and guide business users on correct buying channels, creation and submission of purchase requisitions.Provide expert advice on procurement processes and policies to ensure compliance.Provide end user trainings on the process and support in closing any gaps in technical and process understanding.Act as SME/Point of Contact/escalation for Business stakeholders and internal teams.Review and validate purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement guidelines.Collaborate with business users to address any discrepancies or missing information.Manage the approval workflow for purchase requisitions, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained.Collaborate with relevant teams to expedite approval processes when required.Collaborate with business users to identify potential suppliers for goods or services during the buying process.Support in sourcing activities, including three bids and a buy, market research, vendor identification, and gathering supplier information.Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement processes Drive continuous improvement and tracking of escalation/issues/errors.Prepare and report monthly dashboards to Stakeholders and PLT.Partners with sourcing staff and suppliers to identify opportunities to automate purchasing. Partner with change management team to develop communication strategies to both internal and external stakeholders

The BCG Global Procurement function is currently made up of more than 95 procurement professionals located in London, Stockholm, New Delhi, Boston and Munich. This Buy Desk Sr. Associate position will be supporting our team with buying on a strategic and operational level.   

Scope of work will be global, regional as well as local, requiring procurement experience, relationship building, sell-in capabilities and sensitivity to local requirements. The individual taking on this challenge must possess a very high level of self-motivation/drive, persistency, resourcefulness and a willingness to facilitate change.  



What You'll Bring

Associate or bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experienceA minimum of 5-7 years working within a supply chain and/or purchasing environment in a similar capacityWorking knowledge of Coupa S2P or other equivalent procurement technologyStrong analytical skillAbility to interpret Vendor Contract terms
