Job Title:

Environmental technician

Pay: 18-22/hr

Description:

We\\'re looking for two environmental science technicians to add to our growing team. These individuals will go site to site to healthcare facilities to consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport/dispose of hazardous waste. The position will also require maintaining detailed and accurate records via documentation/labeling, and face-to-face interaction with clients.

Job duties:

•\tSort and pack material for transport (Unused pharmaceuticals, lab waste, aerosol sprays, bulbs, batteries, TVs, printers)

•\tMaintain inventory and storage of hazardous materials.

•\tOperate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas to load/unload trailers.

•\tComplete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly

•\tPerform other tasks as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

•\t6+ months experience within a construction or warehouse environment

•\tEnvironmental Science or hazardous waste background preferred, but not required.

•\tMust be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.

•\tWilling to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

•\tAble to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day.

•\tWillingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

•\tAny previous experience with handling hazardous materials or has their 40-hour hazwoper but not required will help them obtain that.

Schedule:

•\tEarly Morning 5:30/6:00 am start to 1:30-4:00 pm (typically 5-10 hours of OT a week)

•\tSite locations can include United Hospital, Abbot Hospital, Alina Health, and Industrial and retail customers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
