**Job Title:** Entry Level Environmental Technician
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Environmental Technician to support an oil and gas operator with various field activities, including assessment and remediation. This role will involve working on several small- to large-scale oil & gas remediation projects, each at different stages of their life cycle. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct soil sampling to assess contamination levels and determine appropriate remediation strategies.
- Perform hand augering to collect soil samples for analysis.
- Install monitoring wells to track groundwater quality and movement.
- Oversee the removal of impacted soil and groundwater from contaminated sites.
- Travel to various offices, project sites, and attend project meetings as required.
- Engage in extensive fieldwork, including soil sampling, site inspections, and environmental monitoring.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting field observations, sampling results, and remediation progress.
**Essential Skills:**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 1-3 years of experience with field sampling, including water and soil sampling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Proficiency in using field equipment and tools for soil sampling and monitoring well installation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various field conditions.

**Work Environment:**
This position requires working five days a week in the field. You will be paired with an employee who will guide and mentor you. Transportation to and from worksites will be coordinated, with meeting points at the office or an agreed-upon location the night before. When not in the field, you will be responsible for report writing, data analysis, and contributing to project documentation.
**Job Type & Location:**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, Colorado. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on performance and project needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr.
