Job Description
EGLE’s Summer Internship program is a 15-week intensive experience that integrates a student’s knowledge and classroom theory with practical application and skills development in a professional workplace setting.
Internship Project Overview:
The chosen intern will work closely with EGLE's Recruitment and Internship team to help develop and facilitate a major project, while also providing support for ongoing recruitment activities. This position will directly contribute to EGLE's efforts to attract talent and strengthen its talent pipelines, with a specific focus on the Summer 2025 Internship Program.

Key Responsibilities:
Main Project: Summer 2025 Internship Showcase Event
+ Collaborate with the Recruitment and Internship team to design and organize an event celebrating the conclusion of the Summer 2025 Internship Program.
+ Assist interns in preparing and presenting their project presentations for the showcase.
+ Coordinate logistics, including scheduling presentation dates and times within the event week.
+ Promote the event to EGLE staff and relevant stakeholders, ensuring strong participation and visibility.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Support the Recruitment and Internship team in preparing for the Fall 2025 recruitment cycle, including outreach and logistical planning.
+ Review and provide feedback on existing recruitment marketing materials, with a focus on reaching and engaging underrepresented populations.
+ Assist with various duties as assigned, contributing to the broader goals of the team.
Qualifications:
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Interest in event planning, recruitment, or public relations.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
+ Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Familiarity with social media and marketing tools is a plus.
About EGLE’s Summer Internship Program:
+ EGLE’s Summer 2025 Internship Program will start on Monday May12, 2025 and will run approximately 15 weeks.
+ All interns will be required to attend a virtual orientation session on their first day.
+ All interns will be required to do a presentation about their project to EGLE staff during an organized event at the end of the summer internship session
+ Interns can work maximum of 29 hours per week and weekly work schedules will be determined by the intern and their designated supervisor.
+ Students can apply for up to 3 internships. Students who choose to apply for more than 3 internships run the risk of having their applications removed from consideration.
The work location of this position will be Constitution Hall in Lansing, MI. However, the selected candidatemaybe eligible for a hybrid work schedule (a combination of remote and in-person). All work performed, including remote internships must be performed within the borders of the State of Michigan and students must reside in Michigan for the duration of the summer internship. EGLE does not offer any housing or relocation assistance for any out of state students wishing to apply. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.

You must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution in a marketing, communications, organizational development, or similar area of study.
