Job Summary

The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within the City of Hope Environmental Services department, which provides essential non-medical sanitation support to contribute to positive patient outcomes. The Supervisor upholds a comprehensive knowledge and high-quality standards of Environmental Services operations, effectively prioritizing short- and long-term goals. They guide and motivate staff to complete day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Assign and revise staff work duties and schedules to meet department needs.Manage team performance and ensure adherence to established cleaning procedures.Maintain a high standard of sanitation to provide a safe environment.Assist with performing cleaning tasks as needed.Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

1-3 years of Environmental Services experience required.2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong leadership ability and customer service skills.Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office Products.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
