Job Title: Environmental Scientist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist who will be responsible for being in the field 95 percent of the time on various OER and environmental projects throughout the 5 boroughs. The role includes construction oversight, community air monitoring (CAMP), soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and more. Responsibilities + Perform construction oversight on various projects. + Conduct community air monitoring (CAMP). + Carry out soil sampling. + Execute groundwater sampling. + Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. + Write detailed reports on findings and project progress. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science. + 3+ years of experience working in the field, specifically in construction oversight, community air monitoring (CAMP), soil sampling, and groundwater sampling. + Excellent communication skills. + Willingness to be in the field up to 95 percent of the time. + Knowledge of Hazwoper, OSHA 30, and OSHA 10 regulations. + Proficiency in report writing. + OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + SST Card. + Strong relationships within the environmental field. + Ability to work from home two days a week starting in 2024. Work Environment This role requires being in the field 95 percent of the time. The company offers a supportive office culture with opportunities for remote work two days a week starting in 2024. If there is no fieldwork, the individual may work from the office or participate in virtual calls for training and collaboration with project managers.
