Kimley-Horn is looking for an Environmental Science with 2+ years of experience to join our Columbus, OH office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.The opportunity to gain knowledge in one or more of the following: natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification including knowledge of botany and soil science and experience in ecology, wildlife biology, water resources, geographic information systems and environmental science.Some travel may be required (approximately 10%). Qualifications 3+ years relevant experience, including state and federal wetland and species permitting requirementsBachelors or Masters Degree in relevant majors including Biology, Environmental Science, or related majorsEcological field work experience, including wetland delineation and protected species survey Possess strong technical writing skills and have knowledge writing detailed technical reports Working knowledge and strong interest in ArcGISDesire to work in both an office environment and in the fieldWillingness and flexibility to travel for projects as neededExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environmentStrong technical writing and organizational skillsThe ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment as well as the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments concurrently and meet deadlines Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
