Summary You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO. Responsibilities You will serve as the Tank Program Manager with Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs (NREA) Branch, Installation and Environment Division at Marine Corp Base (MCB) Quantico. You will oversee program activities for a well established State program to regulate underground storage tanks (USTs) and above ground storage tanks (ASTs). You will manage the Tank Program and develops budget requirements to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing tank systems and related components. You will maintain and update the Integrated Spill Management Plan (includes hazardous substance, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and pertroleum/oil/lubricants). You will plan, develop, implement and manages assigned environmental projects (e.g. erosion and sediment control inspections, spill cleanup actions, tank closures, and statements of work related to installation, removal, repair maintenance). You will prepare and conduct AST/UST training and certify personnel on the operations, inspections, and maintenance of petroleum storage tanks to Base owners and/or operators of ASTs and USTs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing environmental laws and regulations to assess and analyze environmental issues, assisting an organization in environmental compliance and prevention issues and crafting guidance and policy for an organization's environmental needs.
