Basic Job Functions:

The Environmental Manager develops and executes a strategy for the division that is in alignment with our enterprise sustainability strategy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leading our baghouse and water treatment operations teams Leading Quality team Managing the facilities environmental activities including compliance, permitting, and building relationships with State and Federal environmental agencies Performing community outreach Partnering with all departments to drive continuous improvement Developing and growing our team for future success

​​​​​​​Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: At least 5 years' leadership experience in maintenance or operations in manufacturing with a focus on safety and environmental excellence Proven knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and technical understanding of baghouse and water systems Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent Registered Environmental Manager credentials or PE license Experience in operations, maintenance, design of waste treatment, water treatment, baghouse, and air scrubbing systems
