**Job Description:**
**BASIC FUNCTION**
**This position is responsible for identifying, designing, and managing EHS initiatives in conjunction with the rest of the EHS team. A high degree of independent work ability and individual initiative will be expected in fulfilling the requirements of this position. The Engine Repair division follows international, federal, and local regulations for EHS. Key responsibilities of the candidate are to champion desired culture, reduce risks, eliminate incidents, and manage compliance with ITW expectations for our facility located in Solon, OH.**
**JOB DUTIES**
**Leads and manages EHS audits to identify potential risks, develop and engineer strategies to mitigate those identified hazards.**
**Leads and manages risk assessments on new and existing equipment and processes.**
**Leads and manages inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with company EHS and regulatory requirements and standards**
**Assist in developing EHS training programs to educate others of safe work practices and procedures.**
**Assist with incident investigations as needed.**
**Assist with development and implementation of safe work practices and procedures.**
**Evaluating and selecting safety equipment and systems to ensure their effectiveness in preventing accidents and injuries**
**Staying up-to-date with safety regulations and standards to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments to safety programs.**
**Promoting a culture of safety by fostering awareness, communication, and participation in safety initiatives.**
**Assures compliance with organizational and government EHS standards**
**Administers hazard analysis of new equipment and processes in conjunction with Operations to identify potential hazards and recommend modifications before introduction if needed**
**Works cross-functionally with other departments to implement EHS best practices**
**A** **dditional job activities may be required by the Department.**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Bachelor’s degree in engineering or occupational health & safety**
**Knowledge of HIPPA requirements as this position will have access to pertinent, confidential information necessary to perform the job functions.**
**Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.**
**Computer literacy and organization skills.**
**Demonstrated ability to work efficiently/independently with minimal supervision.**
**Self-starter with initiative, follow through, curiosity and a desire to learn**
**Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization.**
