Role Assignment

The main assignment for the role is to engage with the client on their priorities and with the urgency to deliver results around environmental management comprising of STP and Water systems across the PAN India portfolio, develop the skills & competence of the team within Intel account in the India and ensure compliance and operations of all STP/WTP assets under JLL.

The scope will include IFM operations and management of O&M vendor at the site

What this job involves

Performance                   

Implement JLL & Intel REWS objectives on environment compliances and ensuring effective operational relevance.Operate and Maintain the STP and WTP systems and manage the water balance for the site, conduct of PM/CM and render reports, reporting to Client on all data/information as may be required from time to time, ensure compliance to Intel and KSPCB parameters of treated waterMaintain and ensure compliances of OCEMS data to KSPCB requirements and timely corrective actions to notices or deviationsClient management & improvement in client perceptionManage and reduce risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on Environmental concerns and compliances at all levels by acting as the SMEIdentify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for envoirmental risks.Manage account for incident and RCA investigations

Leadership

Foster a culture of environmental compliance across all sites in Intel accountEstablish trust in JLL Environmental operations with the client, ensure implementation, drive ownership and urgency into the teamsLead, manage and develop the account Environmental teams maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational Environmental management.Mentor and Coach account Environmental team members in developing positive relationships with key internal and external Environmental stakeholders and influencing the behaviors towards ensuring compliance.Proactively develop and drive client relationship improvement and ensuring positive client feedbackContribute to the CS Environmental programme as part of the global Envoirmental leadership team

Standards

Fluency in local India regulatory standards, CPCB, KSPCB, Environmental institutes and relevant global standards. Able to apply the requirements of these standards locally and make available any amendments to these standards for the clientKnowledge and understanding of Internationally recognized Environmental Management systems

Experience

Managing Environment as SME in wastewater treatment at multiple sites with a strong understanding of the CPCB, KSPCB, Environmental labs/institutes.Strong experience in management of STP & WTP especially the MBR technologyInfluence the client through professional competence & skills at workSystem development, implementation and auditing experienceExperience of implementing Environmental technology platforms and data management tools across multiple sites.Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio.Water management & balancing techniquesSignificant practical experience and successes in problem solving in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control and mitigation. An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management & able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.A strong orientation to goals and measurable results.Should hold a master’s degree / Degree in Environmental Engineering any discipline as a minimum qualification 8-10 years of experience in which at least 5 years in CPCB, KSPCB, Environmental related institutes/industry.Strong command in English & interpersonal skills along with local language preferredGood knowledge in MS office & mail communicationTeam player & quick learner attitudeCustomer focusCommitted execution capability and should have sound knowledge in handling vendorsPreferable recognized Professional Environmental qualifications and membershipsExcellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate at all levels of the account.Experienced in setting up/operations of STP (MBR) and WTP

Duties & Responsibilities

Must have a thorough understanding of the principles of wastewater treatment processes and their application.Provide technical leadership to the AMC vendor and Contractor to ensure treated water quality requirements are met by demonstrating foresight and mature engineering judgmentEvaluate plant operations and assure proper adjustment of plant processesCoordinate sampling operations to assure proper balance of treatment steps and meeting effluent requirements.Ensures the proper conduct of laboratory tests performed by operation staff.Supervises plant maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of equipment.Verifies proper implementation of plant preventive maintenance plan as well as the work order issuance for any corrective maintenance whenever required.Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policy is adequately implemented.Staff trainings, appraisal & supervision.Assist the client in all Process Engineering Matters related to STP, RO and WTP.Run a team of STP engineers responsible for the compliant delivery of sewerage treatmentDevelop and maintain strict parameters as per Intel specifications and local authority compliance.Risk averse as situation would demandCapable of managing a team directlySkilled in report writingCommitted execution capability and should have sound knowledge in handling vendorsCreate reporting dashboard for all critical assets
