Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

2 of the most recent 4 years' experience performing Environment of Care dutiesDemonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions based on data, policies, and proceduresProficient in word processing and PC based spreadsheet programsWell-developed oral and written communication skills

Licensure/Registration/Certification: 

Valid US driver’s licenseCompletion of OSHA 511 Standards for general industriesNFPA 101 Life Safety within 12 months of placement in positionNFPA 99 Health Care Facility Code within 12 months of placement in position

Desired Qualifications: 

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Certified Life Safety Specialist for Health Care Facility Managers (CLSS-HC) through National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Responsibilities

Carries out the duties focused on the Environment of Care and Life Safety including hazard surveillance, scheduling inspections, managing the Safety Data Sheets, Hazardous Materials, and Waste programs, and maintains associated documentation. Responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and properties in regard to physical, chemical and environmental hazards.
