**Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer** Location **Toronto** Job Code **17773** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17773) **Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer - Western University** **Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities** POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our Toronto, Ontario office. **Responsibilities** + The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions + Design of overhead power transmission lines for various voltage levels for a range of service providers across North America. + Working with a design team on structural analysis, foundation design, equipment specifications, layout drawings, structure details, cross sections and strength calculations. + Design tasks that can include alignment routing, material specifications, third party coordination, estimations, drafting, compliance checks, field reviews, scheduling, and computer modelling. + Interaction with other designers, draftspersons, clients, agencies, and regulatory bodies. + Ensure that designs comply with all applicable regulatory codes (e.g. CSA, CEC). + Working with power line design software (e.g. PLS-CADD). **Required Education/Experience** + Degree in Civil Engineering. + The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to communicate effectively with internal team members and external client personnel + Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
