Job Description

A physical therapist assesses patients' physical abilities, develops individualized treatment plans using manual therapy techniques, exercises, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain, improve mobility, restore function, and prevent further disability, while educating patients on self-management strategies to achieve their optimal physical health and well-being. The role requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough physical assessments to diagnose movement impairments, pain sources, and functional limitations by reviewing medical history, observing gait and posture, and performing manual muscle testing.Create individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, diagnosis, and assessment findings, outlining specific interventions like manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities (heat, ice, electrical stimulation), and assistive device training.Implement treatment plans by providing hands-on manual therapy, instructing patients in exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, and utilizing specialized equipment as needed.Regularly evaluate patient progress, document findings, and modify treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, home exercise programs, and self-care strategies to promote long-term functional independence.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals like physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.Essential SkillsPhysical therapyPatient careOrthopedic knowledgeStrong communication and collaboration skillsClinical competency and patient managementAbility to manage a patient load of 12–17 patients per dayEvaluation and treatment plan developmentNew Jersey PT license eligibility or proof of passing the testAdditional Skills & QualificationsOutpatient orthopedic experience (preferred but not required)Experience with manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and movement exercises)Time management skillsExperience with EMR systems, specifically WEB-PTWillingness to learn and receive mentorshipWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

I have the full Medical/Dental/Vision info

3 weeks of PTO - includes NJ Sick, but it's all in one bucket. Can't use PTO in the first 3 months, but still accrue time biweekly.

8 paid holidays per year - New years, presidents day, Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas. We also try to sneak in a long weekend if holidays fall on a Thursday or Tuesday. Half days usually before New years and christmas.
