Join us and help deliver a better world. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an **Entry Level Electrical Engineer** to be based in **New York, NY** . The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Create electrical engineering designs and contract documents under the supervision of an experienced professional engineer. + Design new modifications to existing medium and low voltage electrical power distribution systems. + Design and document normal, standby, and emergency power distribution systems. + Complete electrical design calculations including system load analysis, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, coordination studies, voltage drop calculations, and lighting calculations. + Perform construction administration tasks including shop drawing review, site observations, and RFI responses. + Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. + Coordinate design solutions with other design professionals. + Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and specifications under the supervision of a Sr. Electrical Engineer. + Performing assignments under the direction of a Sr. Electrical Engineer requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgement and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. **Qualifications** **Minimum requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, AGI, SKM, ETAP, and AGI32). + Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. + Highly motivated and independent self-starter. + Previous relevant internship or professional experience. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. + Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
