Entry-level Demand Planner
Job Title: Entry-level Demand PlannerJob Description One of our successful clients is seeking an Demand Planner with less than 5 years of experience. You will be trained on all of their processes and procedures! The only necessary experience is basic demand planning, forecasting, and Microsoft Excel experience. This is a role with great growth opportunity! Responsibilities + Manage ERP and Demand Planning Software. + Initiate weekly and monthly reports to determine product demand. + Eliminate shortages due to seasonal items. + Diagnose inventory accuracy with stores in the warehouse. + Work with Line of Business leaders, vendors, and historical data to develop the best statistical forecast. + Implement S&OP at the product family level and create separation between SKUs that require a base statistical resupply model and those that require more manual input. + Manage vendor performance relevant to lines of business, including lead time, delivery accuracy, percentage of delivery on first receipt, freight, order pack quantity, transfer pack quantity, AP/PO variance. + Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time, and other demand drivers to ensure inventory is aligned with demand. + Provide input and resupply models to buyers to build purchase patterns, supply and resupply methods, and monitor line performance. + Analyze cost and demand needs to provide profitable inventory assortment. + Manage redistribution of inventory in wrong locations and identify the most profitable method of closeout. + Analyze forecasting and trends using advanced systems. + Ensure forecast accuracy and work with branches to acquire new customers. + Place purchasing orders and address discrepancies on POs. + Ensure supply meets demand and maintain a full-circle inventory picture. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area, or equivalent substantive work experience. + 1-2 years of relevant experience in purchasing and information systems. + Microsoft Excel experience. + Able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. + Experience in the HVAC distribution environment is a plus. Work Environment The work environment is a standard office setting with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
