Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, set-up, service, clean-up, and restocking of the cook's line and prep areas. Follow sanitation requirements, including product rotation, temperature maintenance, storage procedures, cooking requirements, and handling techniques. Maintain food preparation policies and procedures. Produce food in mass quantities according to approved menu specs and in a timely manner. Work from prep and par lists and follow standardized recipes. Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors. Conduct oneself professionally, ensuring a congenial atmosphere for all. Maintain appearance and uniform standards. Work quickly, efficiently, and safely with all kitchen equipment. Follow environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources. Follow safety practices to minimize risk to self and others. Be flexible and accept additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Basic sanitation and kitchen equipment skills. Ability to comprehend and extend/convert recipes. Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly. Ability to follow directions. Physical Requirements include: Stand for long periods (approximately 8 hours). Walk for long periods.
