Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Work as part of the highway design team in producing plans, specifications and estimates for Transportation Projects.Builds analytic and design skills, within Highway modeling and engineering.Conducts highway engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer, utilizing Bentley OpenRoads.Collects and analyzes data.Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems, as well as MS Office throughout the day.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications:            

Previous relevant internship within civil engineering, ideally a large AEC company that supports similar highway/roadway projects..Experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as highway design, stormwater and multimodal transportation projects.Good written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and experience with MS OfficeAbility to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work.
