Entry Level Business Development Representative
 

MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an entry-level Business Development Representative to focus on our Michigan Market to support our growing Central division. The position can be remote within our footprint.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

Prospect for potential new clients to increase business.  Cold calling as appropriate within your market and geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.   Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.  Researching and building relationships with new clients.  Presenting new products and services to enhance existing relationships.   Working with sales representatives to develop account strategies and objectives.   Participating in the positioning of solutions/services.   Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.  Collaborating with colleagues from other departments.  Due to the remote nature of this role, it is a requirement to document your work. (a process is provided) 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

2+ years of business development experience in business-to-business technology solutions.   Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and prospects.  Comfortable speaking with others on the phone and in person.  Highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual who is not afraid of accountability.   Possess the ability to explain product features and benefits.  (Training provided) Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize.    Previous experience with CRM preferred.    Possess intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products.  Experience with government entities and PD/FD/EMS preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed. 

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
