Sales Engineering unlocks and empowers prospects’ full potential on the Plaid Network. We bring product expertise and drive Revenue outcomes by being customer-obsessed technical advisors in the pre-sales process.
In this role, you will work closely with our Enterprise Sales team as the technical lead during the pre-sales process. You will be responsible for partnering with Account Executives, proactively pushing deals forward by overcoming technical objections and building solutions around Plaid products. You will ensure a successful transition to the post-sale stage of the customer lifecycle and partner with account teams to drive adoption of new products by existing customers. You will be expected to have significant knowledge of the Fintech ecosystem and a deep understanding of how clients can best utilize Plaid.ResponsibilitiesServe as the lead technical product lead for Enterprise accounts throughout the sales processPartner with Account Executives to demonstrate to prospects how Plaid can best address their use cases and technical requirements. Specifically, to design solutions and share best practices throughout the sales processWork with our engineering and product teams to translate prospect feedback into meaningful product insightsRequirements5-7+ years of customer facing experience selling to large enterprisesA strong sense of customer empathyA background that combines business experience and technical acumenStrong communications skills with a confident and proactive approach to client managementAbility to quickly understand new technologies and complex concepts quicklyKnowledge of web services, APIs, and related standards such as HTTP and RESTKnowledge of mobile and web application architecture specific to interfacing with API platformsPayments & Identity verification experience a plus!Willing and able to travel as needed to customers, office, team events, etc.$143,640 - $234,360 a yearTarget base salary for this role is between $143,640 and $234,360 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
