Enterprise Rules and Edits Manager

This Manager, Enterprise Rule & Edits position reports to our Enterprise Rules & Edits Director and has the responsibility for leading a team of Analysts who are accountable for optimizing Waystar’s edit library and consulting with clients. The goal of the position is to ensure clients receive accurate claim edits that prevent payer rejections and denials. Actively partner with high-value clients to optimize workflows, design efficient and sustainable processes, and build an engaged, client-focused team. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** + Build high performing team focused on accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of rule and edit maintenance. + Develop proactive systems to analyze and understand government and commercial payer requirements + Subject matter expert in claim edits and payer policies + Consult with high-value clients to optimize claim edit and rejection workflows + Partner with technology teams to design business rules that automate manual processes or improve efficiency + Design data-driven metrics and reporting to measure success and communicate value of the Enterprise Rules & Edits team + Develop a bench of individual performers to support our aggressive growth plans + Advocate for people, process and technology needs to enable team growth + Attend to Enterprise team's emergency requests when necessary + Act as a motivator to keep the morale up among team members + Oversee and manage all aspects of the proactive claim edit design and maintenance processes + Proactively identify and execute on opportunities for process improvements + Develop training programs to onboard new team members and expand the skills of the existing team members. + Clearly communicate both in oral and written form, operational results to team members and executive management. + Other duties as assigned **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** + 5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting + EDI 835/837/270/276/278, X12 structures, formats, and standards + Strong process orientation, problem solving & troubleshooting skills, and a firm commitment to quality + HIPAA regulation knowledge + Healthcare terminology + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite + Good written and oral communication skills; team player + Experience with EDI and/or healthcare transactions required + Ability to travel up to 50% + Ability to communicate with all levels of hospital / physician business office personnel. **ABOUT WAYSTAR** Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
