What you'll do:

The Enterprise Risk Management Team will work within the bank’s second line of defense and will be responsible for supporting and overseeing a team for the development and implementation of operational risk management programs such as controls testing, issue management, risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) , and technology risk management.
This role is part of the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Group (ERM/ORM) that is responsible for developing and implementing the bank's risk management framework. ERM/ORM is a growing organization focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the company. The organization plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.
Proactively works with business unit management and stakeholders to identify and assess operational, technology, reputational, strategic, financial, and legal risks; ensuring adherence to regulatory, legal, corporate and/or functional requirements.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

Support the execution and enhancement of second line of defense Enterprise and Operational Risk Programs, including Controls Testing and Issue Management.Working with the first line of defense to provide guidance and effective challenge for operational, technology, reputational, strategic, financial, and legal risks related to controls testing and issue remediation.Lead walkthroughs of significant processes to ensure controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate identified risks.Perform independent control testing activities and document results.Support the development of frameworks and standards for the first line of defense operational risk management requirements and act as subject matter expert for first line risk liaisons.Establish and maintain relationships during testing engagements.Execute tasks assigned by manager to deliver on team objectives.Preparing various reports by collecting, analyzing, visualizing, and summarizing source data.

Qualifications:

Previous Controls Testing experience and/or Audit within areas such as information technology, general banking operations including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial and consumer banking products and services. Experience partnering with information technology teams.Knowledge of security, application and/or network core components and tools (such as Azure, AWS, Jira, ServiceNow, Cisco switching and routing, etc.) Experience testing financial and information technology systems and or ITGC.Advanced knowledge of risk management principals and regulatory compliance requirements.3+ years in risk and/or compliance within an information technology or information security area.3+ years of experience in testing technical controls in financial institutionsStrong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through complex situations.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, finance, or a related field of study.
