Responsibilities Provide user desktop support that includes hardware that would sit on a particular user's desk to network connectivity and basic computer functionsMaintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devicesSupport network and computing infrastructure.Maintains DNS MX records for all domains accepting email services within the Microsoft O365 Cloud.Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.Monitor system performance and assist in implementing performance tuning.Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.Provides support for network security through patching and system maintenance and upgrades/.Prepares and schedules computer setup, repair, configuration changes, or replacementProvides telephone, e-mail, remote access, or in-person solutions to day-to-day DNS issues.Support IS team in meeting key performance indicators and metricsAssist with the maintenance of records for hardware and software use along with license usage.Displays continuous improvement of current processes and proceduresDevelops strategies and processes to ensure on-time delivery of equipment, cost reduction opportunities and performance improvements.Demonstrates good working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, and common business software such as MS OfficeMaintain up-to-date knowledge of current operating systemsUnderstands the role of IS in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge with modern LAN/WAN solutions including IP networking - MPLS, QOS, SONET/SDH optical solutions, and serial communications, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSH, NTP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, SCP, and TFTP, and DMZ zone DNS secure administration. Technical degree, Associates or, bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems, or Science/Engineering/Math or 5-7 years’ relevant experience in Information Technology preferably within system or application administration
