Enterprise Continuity Planning Consultant

The Opportunity

As an Enterprise Continuity Planning Consultant, you will be responsible for emergency management functions across the enterprise, including governance, response plan management, and oversight of MassMutual’s all-hazards crisis management program, driving preparedness through a rigorous exercise schedule.

The Team

You will operate with key stakeholders to monitor the global environment for potential threats, conduct comprehensive response training, implement program enhancements to strengthen organization resilience. Additionally, in this role you are responsible for the coordination of incident response across multiple teams through resumption of normal operations.

The Impact/Responsibilities:

Owns execution of emergency response activities, including activations of the High-Severity Incident Response Team; requires 24/7 staffing for the duration of a significant business disruptionExecute program governance activities, including alignment of standards and controls to industry best practices, execute and oversee plan validations, testing and training activitiesIdentify continuous improvement program opportunities; develop and drive project efforts through implementationAnalyze deficiencies in recovery capabilities and evaluate potential recovery optionsSupport company-wide education needs to increase awareness of the Enterprise Resilience ProgramDevelop and track key metrics to accurately reflect the health of the Enterprise Resilience Program, focused on risk reductionCreate and execute communications to business partners in support of business disruptions, including utilizing the company emergency notification tools

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree8+ years of experience with emergency/crisis management, business continuity planning or project management3+ years demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products3+ years of experience in managing high-stress, time-sensitive incident response operations3+ years experience in a role that requires strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of management, including c-suite

The Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management, emergency management or related fieldAbility to work with a great degree of autonomyExperience in developing and facilitating emergency-related exercises (drills, simulations, table-top, etc.)In-depth understanding of emergency management/crisis response, business continuity management, governance, best practices, and protocolsExperience utilizing the Incident Command System (ICS) methodology and/or certificationsBusiness Continuity Industry Certification, such as CBCP or MBCP, NIMSExperience with Emergency Notification and Continuity planning tools or softwareUnderstanding of insurance/financial services industryProven leadership skills across multi-faceted organizations and across all levels of managementAbility to execute incident response with a great degree of autonomy

Salary Range: $115,900.00-$152,100.00
