Role Definition
Candidate will be supporting Caterpillar Financial by leading and orchestrating enterprise-scale architecture designs and solutions for projects/programs that deliver business value. Candidate’s areas of focus and depth of knowledge include thought technical leadership and architectural ownership for AI adoption and Governance, the enterprise data platform, Business Intelligence tools, digital applications for the purpose of exposing and interacting with data in the platform. Candidate will provide design and implementation guidance of enterprise-scale AI solutions including Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-powered automation to enhance business operations. The Candidate will regularly communicate with the strong ability executive IT and business leaders regarding the solutions provided, investments needed, and overall strategic-fit and business impact.
They will be part of a team that establishes and assists with the execution of our enterprise technology strategy. They will define the relationships, flows and implementation of business processes/activities/functions, information, applications, data and technology in the enterprise and the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing business needs. They will provide leadership for application architecture plans, technology design and lifecycle and information integrity by promoting reuse through Enterprise Architecture processes/reviews and standard compliance practices.
Responsibilities
The Candidate will regularly communicate with the strong ability to influence executive IT and business leaders regarding the solutions provided, investments needed, and overall strategic-fit and business impact.
Candidate will be supporting Caterpillar Financial by leading and orchestrating enterprise-scale architecture designs and solutions for projects/programs that deliver business value.

Provide design and implementation guidance of AI solutions including Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-powered automation to enhance business operations.
Consult on best practices with junior staff in architecture planning, processes, data, infrastructure and application modeling.
Oversee the quality of architecture project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards, processes and an enterprise view.
Degree Requirement
A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 15 years of progressive enterprise technology experience is required.

This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring 3-day weekly office presence onsite at our (location) office and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.

Summary Pay Range:
$135,240.00 - $237,564.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
