ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN V(AVTBS-2024-21851):
Bowhead seeks a Engineering Technician to support operational and technical support services for the Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch (AVTB) Headquarters and Technical Support Services (HQTSS) at Camp Pendleton, CA. AVTB is a Department of Defense (DoD) sponsored test facility that provides year-round Test and Evaluation (T&E) of amphibious vehicles, ground combat vehicles, systems, and equipment for the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) and Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS).
Responsibilities Shall be able to plan, coordinate, and supervise the organizational and intermediate
maintenance production and maintenance management for all organic vehicle and
handheld communications equipment within the AVTB inventory.Shall execute maintenance workload based on the maintenance level authorized, priority,
and availability of parts, tools, equipment, and level of personnel experience.Shall ensure proper inventory accountability and maintenance of all communications
equipment, tool sets, chests, and kits.Shall be able to provide technical guidance to the Maintenance Officer on all matters
pertaining to communications equipment readiness, tracking, and availability.Shall track repair parts and be the liaison to item managers, sources of supply, and
commercial vendors to ensure repair parts are received in a timely manner.Shall possess a current Secret security clearance to ensure all Cryptographic Controlled
Items (CCIs) are maintained while acting as the Electronic Key Management System
(EKMS) Manager with authority over the AVTB communications vault.Shall be able to install, uninstall, and keep track of communications equipment in
government vehicles and in other commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, as well as
filling cryptographic keys into electronic encryption devices and load correct frequencies
for secure communication.Shall provide training opportunities to all other members of AVTB regarding tactical
vehicle communications systems.Shall submit frequency requests in support of T&E.Shall be familiar with the following platforms: AN/VRC-110, AN/PRC-153, AN/VRC-
89, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-150, AN/VRC-114,
AN/PRC-160, AN/VRC-124, and Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P). Qualifications Five plus (5+) years of experience professional work experience working with U.S. Marine Corps Tactical Radios.Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
