Description Under direct supervision, work with Sampler Technicians at mine site to obtain and deliver consistent and accurate samples to the assay laboratory in a timely manner. Assists in identifying which drill holes require sampling from the Drill PatternMust work closely and coordinate work schedule with dispatch and/or drilling and blastingAssists in obtaining representative samples following the appropriate SOP'sEnsures that samples are obtained from equally spaced locations within the drill hole, the minimum sample weight is obtained, samples are correctly labeled, and the correct paperwork and computer work has been completedAssists with quality control; for those sample locations that are identified as locations for duplicate samples, repeats the sampling process on the same blast holeEnsures that the duplicate samples are correctly labeled and that both the original and the duplicate are identified accordingly for laboratory staffTransports and delivers all samples to the correct location for shipping to the assay laboratory, in a timely mannerMarks material zones (ore/waste/leach) with flags in the field as requiredResponsible for verifying that equipment is functional and operating properlyEnsures that all sampling equipment is cleaned after each sample has been takenPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

No experience is requiredAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writingKnowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructureAble to use a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Office

High School diploma or GEDExperience in an area or areas relevant to the assignmentSoil or rock sampling experienceExperience operating mobile equipmentValid state driver's licenseAbility to lift/handle/load/stack up to fifty (50) lbs.Operation of hand/power toolsExperience performing equipment and work place safety inspectionsAbility to work outdoors and in ambient weather conditionsBasic computer skillsWell organized and self-motivated

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $17.50 - $23.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require
