Where You Will Work   

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description

Under general supervision, provides assistance with a variety of conventional to complex Engineering projects to support operations. Assist in layout and design, specification development and preparation, new product evaluation and data collection.

 

Assembles data and assists with problem-solving requiring basic theories and Engineering fundamentalsUtilizes computer programs to solve Engineering problemsAssists with layout and design of a variety of conventional to complex Engineering projectsMaintain accurate and current project documentationPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience in an Engineering or technical area relevant to the assignmentKnowledge of specialized equipment, methods and techniques appropriate to assignment, including GIS/GPS mapping techniquesSkill in safely using, maintaining and repairing specialized equipment to complete assigned projectsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAble to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $23.00 - $31.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
