Responsibilities
Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and more complex drawingsReview blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if service is requested by the engineer or project managerPerform quality control redline checks before having plan sets roll up to Project ManagersWork with AutoCAD functions including sheet set manager, tool palettes, AutoCAD annotations, Civil 3D annotations, tables, and scalesDevelop design models including points, alignments, profiles, cross sections, corridors, surfaces, and pipe networksMay assign/manage efforts in the CAD/Civil 3D departmentTrain staff on the most current technologies being utilized in the industry Qualifications 0-5 years of experience using CAD in a professional settingAbility to work proficiently with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (Civil Engineering design and documentation software) is requiredAbility to communicate thoughts and concepts with team membersStrong knowledge with CAD set up using surveyor dataPossess knowledge of coordinate systems, cartographic layout and design techniquesBasic understanding of Civil engineering and design practicesAbility to prepare various support graphics for reports and meetingsComputer skills: AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map, and Microsoft OfficeExperience with AutoCAD Map is preferred
