Job Description
We are seeking Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians to join our team. This role involves traveling to various landfills to perform on-site documentation and verification of daily activities. The CQA Technician will ensure that the work completed by general contractors is accurate and meets project specifications. The position requires the preparation of daily reports and attendance at daily meetings.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.Ensure overall compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings.Communicate effectively, and maintain good writing and organization skills.Work independently as well as in a team environment.Utilize soils laboratory coursework and demonstrate interest/experience in construction.Travel to various locations with expenses covered for out-of-town assignments.Work 6-7 days per week with anticipated overtime during the construction season.Essential SkillsFamiliarity with construction specifications.Ability to write daily and weekly reports.Attention to detail.Willingness to travel and be away from home for long periods.Good communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsNuclear Gauge/density certification.Landfill construction experience.Associate's degree.ACI Certification.Work Environment
This position requires working outdoors at various landfill locations, enduring extreme weather conditions, and working 8-10 hour days, mostly on your feet. Travel is generally within Kentucky and some bordering states. Assignments could last 3-4 months with minimal home visits, potentially working up to 20-30 hours of overtime each week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
