Job Description
Support engineers in HSE durability analytics to ensure the integrity of parts in the hottest part of the engine. This role includes technician work, project management, and engineering tasks.
ResponsibilitiesBecome a technical expert on inspection practices, including photography using handheld devices, digital annotation, magnetoscope inspection, and airflow bench operation.Follow proper standard work by selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and molds, setting up benches correctly, and documenting values in formatted templates.Comfortably use MS Excel for data documentation.Manage all special projects not covered within the O/S SOW.Order supplies for Crib & D-Bldg team members.Oversee the O/S team by providing technical expertise, monitoring workflow prioritization, and spot-checking deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.Foster good communication between HSE/MPE/CPR/Outsource Vendor and manage regular communications using MS Outlook/Teams.Interact with the CPR database (LotusNotes) and submit work requests to MPE (Granta).Update and maintain standard work for inspection practices and drive continuous improvement.Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in database management, Excel, and SAP.Knowledge in nondestructive testing and mechatronics.Experience in ultrasonic and eddy current testing.NDT Level II certification.Experience in mechanical inspection of parts, test development, and procedure planning.Associate Degree from a Technical College.1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP is a plus.Strong soft skills in project management.Work Environment
This position requires full-time onsite work at the East Hartford campus. The group is dynamic with constantly changing priorities. It offers a structured, process-driven environment with opportunities for permanent positions. Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, and overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
