Job Description:

Location: Andover, Massachusetts

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Engineering Tech candidates in the Andover, MA area. Exceptional Engineering Technician 3 support the engineering team by performing technical tasks related to documentation and testing of new equipment in development. An ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering and experience creating technical drawings and plans for electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Principal Responsibilities:

• Supports engineering activities such as documentation, test and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems or specialized test equipment
• Works closely with product design engineers to document technical design details including updating, creating and editing detailed wiring and layout diagrams for electrical equipment
• Prepares and/or updates assembly Bill of Materials and provides engineering documentation as required
• Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment
• Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
• Assists in the design, construction, documentation, test and check-out of test equipment

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 20 pounds
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• Operates in an office and/or laboratory environment
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat

Desired Background/Skills:

Required Skills:

• Requires an Associate degree or equivalent technician experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of related experience
• Experience creating technical documentation
• Solid understanding of electrical system design and documentation
• Proficiency with Visio and Solidworks preferred
