The Engineering Systems IT Analyst will provide technical leadership in the areas of EE &SW, PLM, CAD (Mechanical and Electrical), CAE, and other engineering applications deployment. He / She will work with product engineering groups to solidify and carry out technical, process, and infrastructure requirements, track milestones, and manage issues and risks. The Engineering Systems IT Analyst will lead local projects in our complex PLM environment and manage all local engineering systems costs.
Key Accountabilities:
Administration and support of a PLM System (Teamcenter experience required)Administration and support of multi-CAD systems such as but not limited to Creo, CATIA V5, NX, Mentor Graphics, Altium designer in a Windows environment (experience with other MCAD/ECAD tool is plus)Work with our Electric, Electronic & Software Teams and support the implementation and standardized of our new Electrical Design FrameworkAdministration and support of CAE applications in a LINUX HPC & Windows workstation environmentProject ManagementCost Cell responsibilityExpertise with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) conceptsA solid understanding of R&D Design and Release processesDefine and continuously develop the CAE and PLM architecture ensuring alignment with the overall IT Strategy and Business ObjectivesFacilitate testing - create test cases, complete system/integration testing, facilitate user acceptance testingStay current with technology and determining the impact of hardware and/or software upgrades on new and existing applicationsAbility to prioritize and execute tasksAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageProvide technical leadership and direction on assigned projectsUnderstand IT processes and work within designated guidelinesStrong customer-service orientationHighly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detailsGood teamwork spiritExcellent decision making and problem-solving skillsDrive ideas for IT technology to support engineering, technology roadmapsDrive continuous improvement and best use of technologyQualifications & Requirements:
A degree in mechanical engineering or computer science or in a related fieldProven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CAx/PLM software solutionsExperience in Electric, Electronic & Software tools (ALM, E-CAD, etc.) and processes (SPICE) is a mustExperience in mechanical design and drafting methodologies is a plusMinimum 3 years of previous in CAx/PLM administration experience in the Automotive IndustryAbility to work with minimal supervision; demonstrate initiative and make suggestions for departmental process/procedure improvementsStrong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of training users Engineering Systems applications, making presentations to an internal audience and writing basic documentationGood skills with Windows commands/utilitiesFamiliarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environmentGood written and spoken English skillsKey Competency
