About Lakewood Regional Support

Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.

This positions supports Hotel Property Leadership in maintaining the property assets to the highest level by providing direction and supervision to the staff, monitoring various aspects of the day to day operations, preparing reports related to department operations, assisting in staffing, training, evaluating performance.

Job Specific

Establishes daily work assignments, and directs flow of same to completionReviews all completed work orders, and inspects completed work as needed to ensure accuracy and qualityAssists all department heads in handling any unusual maintenance related guest complaintsEnsures completion to standard of all required preventive maintenance operations and spot checks dailyAssists engineers in diagnosis of problems related to equipment malfunctionProvides supervision/support to all Engineering department staff on a daily basisEnsures maintenance shop adherence to cleanliness and safety standardsAttends all required hotel meetings to keep informed of activities/promotions and events; maintain communications with other departments within the hotelAssist property leadership in monitoring energy consumption, maintaining equipment and supply inventoriesAssists property leadership n communicating MaintenancePerforms periodic inspections of all property assets to ensure maintenance to standardAssists with coaching and recognition of departmental personnel according to Loews standardsFollows New Hire Training and ongoing Star Service Competency program in accordance with hotel policyMonitors schedules and hours of Engineering Department on a daily basisEstablishes and ensures adherence to all department and Loews Hotels guidelines, policies and proceduresMaintains open communications with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfactionOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Progressive growth in hospitality or maintenance industryWorking knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration and Life Safety operating systemsKnowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment operation and maintenance, record-keeping and reporting systemsEffective supervisory, organizational and communication skillsKnowledge of computer based operating systemsPreferred knowledge of: HotSOS, transcendent, luthron, JCI and NiagraAbility to stand, stoop, bend repetitively, pull, push, climb ladders, work outside, extensive walking and lift up to 75 lbsUnderstanding of hospitality working hours to include morning, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays
