Key Accountabilities

Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Vistra personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutionsRotate through different groups within the engineering department to gain a working knowledge of engineering functional areas.  Shadowing of other departments, to include, but are not limited to Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection and ChemistryWill be assigned various engineering projects based on prior experience and courses completedComply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentPossess the ability to work independently on assignments and problem solve with teams and in a dynamic environmentAll other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internshipMust be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in engineering, data science, or related disciplineExperience with programming languages, project management, Power BI, or machinery desiredProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access Suite desiredExcellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desiredOfficial transcripts must be received from your school prior to start dateMust be in good academic standing with your school
