Engineering Specialist - Elect

Responsibilities: 

•           Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations

•           Troubleshoot PLC, Robot, conveyance, and other automation problems

•           Update program backups for automation 

•           Program new installations of tooling and conveyor systems

•           Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements 

•           Coordinate automation campaigns

•           Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

High School Diploma 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office PLC programing using RS Logics5 and Control Logix 5000 Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics Strong problem-solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, DMAICs, and DOEs experience  Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery  Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote I/O

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Fanuc robot experience  Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience Experience with TQM and Kaizen Methods Visual Factory Management
