Responsibilities

Our project managers have the opportunity to plan, implement, and supervise the execution of projects for our Federal DOE Contracts. A typical day may include reviewing project financials, managing project schedules, developing project plans, and facilitating internal and external project meetings for multiple projects executing simultaneously. We help you apply your skills to exciting and important projects. You will also need to:

 

Manage Client Interactions: Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects, negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfaction, foster and maintain working relations with assigned clientsLead Teams: Lead matrixed technical staff to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards, schedules, technical requirementsManage Project Financials: Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performanceManage Project Schedules: Responsible for development of project schedule, execution of schedule, reporting on schedule, preparing recovery schedules and re-baselining schedules, understand complex scheduling tools including earned value management and reporting processesLead Proposal Efforts: Lead efforts while working with technical staff to develop winning, and highly detailed, engineering proposals, support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-upMeet Reporting Requirements: Formulate / develop detailed internal and Federal reporting requirements,Enforce Polices: Enforce Internal and Federal work standards, schedules, supervising sub-contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinatesDevelop Plans: Develop Federal Services Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures and Dictionaries Qualifications Minimum of 6 years' experience in the federal power projects or nuclear power industries as an Engineer or Project ManagerBachelor's Degree in Engineering -OR- PMP Certification and BS in Business or ArchitecturalSkilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and reviewCapable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneouslyKnowledge in earned value management, rules of credit, and progress reportingExperienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and reviewAbility to understand and work with budget and accounting processesStrong coordination and team building skillsExcellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skillsEffective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teamsWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeksPosition may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a timeMust be a US Citizen to be eligible for this positionAbility to obtain DOE L or Q clearance

Salary Range Information

Mid-level project managers have a range starting at $110,000.

The range increases based on role, level and location ($110,000 - $175,000 per year).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
