Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Engineering Project Manager will support Engineering projects, documenting project plans, updating project management reporting tools, and monitoring that projects are on schedule and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with cross functional teams to develop product development plans, budgets, and milestones.  Monitor and report specific requirements into the financial systems.  Work with finance and functional lines to build budgets and monitor actual vs expected spend.  Provide comprehensive planning and tracking support for the project team.  Monitor Project Teams activities against Product Development Plan to identify deviations from planned timing, budget or scope. Ensure that the project team is informed of project status. 

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience overseeing project management budgets.  Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.  Expertise with product development methodologies and processes.  Experience with defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, indicating tests and maintenance for engineering projects.  Ability to work in a face paced and dynamic work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Proven experience in software development and project management. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

MBA or PMP certification.  Familiarity with regulated medical product development practices will be a plus. 

Education: 

B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering or a related field. 

Compensation:

The anticipated range for this position is $110,000 - $158,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
