Job Summary

The Engineering Manager (Tatura) leads the reliability and maintenance strategy, oversees technical teams responsible for managing maintenance activities, scope, assess and deliver projects, innovation, sustainability, infrastructure and services to the Tatura site.  This role embraces Lean Manufacturing (UMS) principles as an ongoing continuous improvement initiative.

Role Responsibilities:

Lead the Engineering functions across the site, and consistently drive safety, quality and performance by delivering highly reliable equipment, process control, and continuous improvement systems and processes.Maintain and enhance a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring, educating and leading by example.Support effective delivery of capital projects that deliver increased capacity and innovation, efficiency gains, lessen waste impact.Oversee the team responsible for the Professional Maintenance (PM) pillar of the Unilever Manufacturing Systems (UMS) process. To ensure all deliverables of the PM pillar are met, including:Increase the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of all linesReduce the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) of all linesDevelop and implement Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP’s).Oversee the Emergency Work Order (EWO) process.Develop and implement the Maintenance Repair and Maintenance (R&M) budgets (labour & materials).Develop and management of the annual capital budget.Manage technical teams responsible for project delivery across the site and ensure that all projects and innovations occur within relevant organisational frameworks /guidelines.Continuously strive to improve site infrastructure in such areas as energy, water, all utilities and associated contracts/contractors.Ensure the site complies with all legal and regulatory requirements/accreditations.Play a key role in driving sustainability for the site, ensuring that the decarbonisation targets are achievedAny other projects, as directed, by the Sourcing Unit Manager.Adhere to all safety instructions, policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.Provide support to the wider team as required to meet organisational goals and objectives.

Does this sound like You?

Mandatory:

Degree qualified, Either Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and/or Mechatronic Engineer.Proven experience in maintenance leadership including overseeing preventative maintenance programs.National Police Check.Significant experience in an FMCG environment.A track record in the end-to-end management and successful delivery of significant capital projects.Strong interpersonal skills to interface with other operational business units.Exceptional Analytical / problem solving capabilities.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to deliver results in a fast paced environment.Superior time management and organisational skills.

Desirable:

Experience in AutoCAD & SAP
