Engineering Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the cosmetics industry, is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team in Chatsworth, CA. This role involves overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring efficient operations, and leading a team to maintain the highest standards in compliance, safety, and efficiency within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely completion of changeovers, maintaining detailed documentation on quality and quantity.Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks to optimize machine uptime.Lead initiatives to ensure compliance with alcohol safety and all Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.Monitor downtime causes and adjust PM programs to address inefficiencies.Manage spare parts inventory to optimize costs and maintain Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).Design and implement training programs to enhance the Maintenance Department’s performance.Create work schedules ensuring adequate plant operations support.Analyze project schedules, labor costs, and material usage to ensure efficient resource allocation.Develop and manage department budgets aligned with company guidelines.Inspect work performed by staff and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.Address performance issues and resolve non-compliance matters.Collaborate with Plant personnel to schedule work orders and follow up on project progress.Ensure all safety standards, certifications, and audits are regularly conducted.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management (BSFM) or a related field preferred.10+ years of experience in facility maintenance, ideally in cosmetics manufacturing or FDA-regulated environments.5+ years of experience in a Facility Management leadership role.Lean Certification or Six Sigma certification is preferred.Proven leadership experience with a strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general facility operations.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate: $120,000 – $150,000 (based on experience).Schedule: Day Shift (specific hours to be discussed).
