A global energy consultancy, specializing in delivering integrated services for complex energy projects, is seeking an Engineering Manager – Floating System to support a Concept Select and Pre-FEED project for a deepwater gas development offshore Indonesia.
Location & Employment Details Office Location: Perth, Western Australia (Office-based) Project Execution Location: Indonesia Employment Type: 9-month – 12-month contract (Potential for extension) Industry: Offshore Oil & Gas with a Renewable Energy Focus Key Responsibilities Lead the Floating System engineering team throughout the Concept Select and Pre-FEED phases of the project. Provide technical direction and leadership for floating system design, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geotechnical, subsea, pipelines, integrity, safety, risk, and commercial aspects. Engage with project stakeholders to define and refine floating system concepts and execution strategies. Oversee contractors and ensure that deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations. Potential travel to Jakarta, with the possibility of being based at either the contractor’s Jakarta office or their centre of excellence engineering office. Should the Floating System be selected for development, the role will transition into a full-time engagement for the active SWR phase. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized and fully accredited university. Minimum 20 years of offshore oil and gas experience, with at least 10 years as an Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer in conceptual study, Pre-FEED, and FEED of floating systems. Proven track record of delivering at least three (3) completed greenfield deepwater projects in Concept Select, Pre-FEED, and FEED as an Engineering Manager – Floating System or in a similar leadership role.
