Engineering Manager, Customer Capacity Experience
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). + 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role. + 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent. Preferred qualifications: + Experience in capacity planning and management. + Experience leading and growing medium-to-large engineering teams. + Experience with object-oriented programming languages, distributed systems, and reliable systems/cloud services. + Passionate about delivering impact in an enterprise-facing and customer-facing environment. With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally. The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers. + Provide technical leadership across teams of engineers focused on building a new platform. + Define, iterate, and communicate team goals, strategy, and roadmap. + Collaborate and navigate through organizational complexity to solve problems and drive cross-functional execution. + Coach, mentor, and grow engineers on the team. + Provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery of services and infrastructure.
