Assist engineers and engineering lab technicians in product testing, procuring standard and prototype components, agency testing, data acquisition, maintenance, fabrication of prototypes, conduct product and/or test equipment searches, generate test reports, organize and maintain test lab storage area. + Designs simple or assists in design of more complicated test apparatus and fixtures; fabricates or arranges for fabrication of parts for and assembles test apparatus; operates machine and hand tools and welding, brazing and soldering equipment. + Selects and sets up a variety of mechanical, electrical and chemical test equipment for conducting laboratory tests of products and product components (to include sinks, faucets, and water delivery products), making connections, adjustments and calibrations of motors, servomechanisms, switches microprocessors, valves, piping, meters gauges, thermocouples and similar devices and using hand tools micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges and similar measuring instruments to set up equipment in accordance with test specifications procedures and instructions. + Conducts performance, endurance and aging tests of products and components which are prototypes, new applications, quality control samples, defective or returned items and competitor samples. + Monitors and troubleshoots tests in progress, identifies and reports problems, variations and causes. + Records and compiles test data and prepares test reports for certification, engineers, operations, quality department and agencies. + Makes preliminary analysis of, and reviews data with manager and/or engineer and implements any required changes in test procedure or equipment. + Openly communicates with engineering lab request originators with testing results or additional questions surrounding lab requests to effectively execute lab request. + Maintains services and repairs test equipment and participates in debugging new equipment. + Interpret Technical requirements for qualification of components, sub-systems and/or full systems.
