About the Role

Work with the Engineering Business Office: Assists group office team with data research/entry, comparative analysis, cooperation between product engineering teams / project teams, and communications within product engineering.

Your Responsibilities

1. Learn and utilize Magna business planning tools to support quotation process
a. Upkeep of engineering quotation database
b. Track quotations through approval process
c. Improve Quote status reporting using internal tools for automation
d. Support eQuote Manager to prepare reports showing eQuote costs distribution by competency, region and product
2. Participate in resource development process
a. Work within Magna portfolio management tool (PlanView) to keep all planned projects up to date and aligned with the latest business plan
b. Support Resource Manager to create reports for resource utilization, resource competency maps and resource requirement
c. Support annual update of engineering competency record
3. Develop employee surveys seeking feedback on IT tools and business processes
4. Support the Magna Powertrain product engineering Planview implementation team as needed:
a. DS Portfolio Active Lifecycle Step Cleanup
b. PLM integration
c. Moving projects to the correct GPMS gates
5. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949).
6. Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
7. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Who we are looking for

• Business minded individual
• Some related experience preferred

Your preferred qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University
• Some related experience / exposure to IT tools (Power BI, Microsoft Suite)
• Educational interest and exposure to engineering, business management, finance

• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.

• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
