Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Assistant to apprentice under our engineering manager. This role involves assisting with engineering tasks and responsibilities specifically in the mill liner area. The successful candidate will also fill in for the engineering team as the lead liner position when required and will gain comprehensive knowledge of our company operations, including the tool room, hot press, furnace operations, heat treatment, grinding, and liner preparation. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing liner drawings and job paperwork for the Liner Shop and will be involved in basic sales and estimating procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with engineering tasks and responsibilities in the mill liner area.Fill in for engineering team as lead liner position as required.Learn company operations - tool room, hot press, furnace operations, heat treatment, grinding, liner preparation.Prepare liner drawings and job paperwork for the Liner Shop.Perform basic sales and estimate procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Experience with quoting and estimating.Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Experience in manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in machining or tooling is a plus.Work Environment
This position operates in a casual office environment as well as an industrial manufacturing setting. The role involves working with various technologies and equipment related to engineering and manufacturing processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.
