Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Water Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bellville, South Africa. As a Water Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects, contributing to the sustainable management of water resources in the region.

Assist in the design and development of water and wastewater treatment plants, from concept to detailed designCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and timely deliveryPerform engineering calculations, prepare technical specifications, and create sketches and diagramsUtilize BIM modeling and CAD software to develop and analyze project designsContribute to the preparation of comprehensive technical proposals for water-related projectsParticipate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, including virtual walkthroughs and clash detectionAssist in the development of reports, tender documents, and other technical documentationWork on detailed engineering assignments under moderate supervisionCoordinate with relevant authorities to secure necessary approvals for projectsStay updated on local and international technical codes and standards related to water engineeringSupport senior engineers in client meetings and project discussionsContribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited universityRegistration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA, or eligibility to obtain registration3-5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment process engineeringProficiency in BIM modeling and CAD softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent technical writing abilities for reports and tender documentsKnowledge of local and international technical codes and standards related to water engineeringFamiliarity with water resource management principles and environmental regulationsStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProject management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented approach with a commitment to producing high-quality workInnovative mindset and willingness to contribute creative solutions to complex water engineering challengesAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet project deadlines
