We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Satellite Ground System and Ops IPT Lead to join our team located in Englewood, CO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supports design updates and development of mission system, ground segment and subsystem design, integration and test.Generate Analysis or Inspection reports for respective subsystem requirementsRun product team in an agile framework while taking a hybrid approach to report performancePerform CAM duties in support of project engineer/ program managementProvide proactive and pragmatic Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) design and interfaces to ensure mission requirements are satisfied by SV design.Develop FDIR test scenarios and support test plan and procedure development to ensure SV FDIR design is fully tested.Responsible for mission operations artifacts and proceduresSupport program design and readiness reviews.Supports operation of engineering systems and documents any problems.Opportunities will arise to support internal development and new business opportunities.Devises new approaches to resolve unusual or complex engineering problems.Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements. Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required. Conducts mission and program specific real time spacecraft and satellite flight operations during launch, commissioning and operations phases of mission.Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support.Provides technical direction for complex orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.Plan and execute satellite tasking and maintenance, executing and implementing procedures to monitor and control spacecraft and automated ground station.Schedule ground system resources.Review and interpret real-time and trended satellite telemetry data, conducting failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites and providing effective solutions as necessary.Provide timely response and direction to protect system during an anomaly.Record, report, and analyze spacecraft mission data, health data, and logs, observing data for anomalies, preparing summaries of data via written tabulations, charts, graphs, and reports as necessary.Support future satellite mission development and operational concept development.Create and update satellite system operations procedures and documentation.Represent the work area as a primary contact; may possibly initiate procurement of materials, services, and parts required for equipment, and provides necessary liaison with vendors.May act as Lead Operator. Provides technical assistance to lower level operators in work area.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
