+ This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
+ Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and tuning complex enterprise level database systems, tools, and business intelligence solutions
+ Responsible for designing and building Oracle RAC systems, administering , maintaining Oracle relational databases and assisting the application development teams in optimizing schema design and SQL statements.
**What you'll do**
+ Serve as subject matter expert for Oracle and other database related technologies
+ Works in live transaction databases, operational data stores and small data mart environments
+ Writes queries, stored procedures, functions and views
+ Responds to user requests for new tables, procedures, views and reports
+ Uses data modeling tools to optimize overall database schemas for targeted environments and use
+ Develops both new databases as well as extending, consolidating and tuning existing database environments
+ Develops SSIS packages to transfer data from live transaction environments
+ Develops reports with Cognos, Tableau
+ Acts as subject matter expert for data management principles, modeling, design, and development for a large data environment
+ Guides and governs code based best practices and standards
+ Manages/administers the development, quality assurance and user acceptance testing database
+ Tracks and documents data layer for applications and systems
+ Tunes and troubleshoots database performance issues
+ Performs Code reviews and set direction and priority for work items
+ This position will include off hours work to perform database changes after core business hours.
+ Support production environment with flexible weekly rotating pager.

**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training plus
+ 3 years of experiences an Oracle DBA
+ Built and support of Oracle 11g/12c databases in RAC environments with ASM on Linux/Unix based systems
+ Knowledge of RHEL/Oracle Linux
+ Knowledge of Oracle RAC with well-organized approach to database administration, performance, backup/recovery and troubleshooting and tuning.
+ Knowledge of Oracle SQL , PL*Sql and shell scripting/ with KSH/Bash.
**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 5+ years of experiences an Oracle DBA
+ Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
+ Experience with database support in IaaS or PaaS.
+ Experience with Data Guard and Golden Gate or SharePlex software.
+ Experience with a PaaS / IaaS solutions in Azure or IBM Cloud
+ Working Experience with Data Bricks and Azure Data Lake
+ Exposure to ADX (Azure Data Explorer) and ADF (Azure Data Factory).
+ Working Experience with Data Bricks and Azure Data Lake .
+ 5+ years of experience developing, troubleshooting and tuning Microsoft SQL
+ 5+ years of high volume, high profile, enterprise database operations experience
+ 5+ years of experience creating scripts, (vbscript, Powershell, or shell) in a professional environment
+ Real work experience within a data warehouses environment
+ Experience with Active Directory domains, account administration, and Windows security
+ Airline industry experience
**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**
+ Experience and understanding of various SQL Server features (i.e. SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, XML)
+ Experience with writing deployment scripts or deployment packages (executable) for various target environments like development, test and production
+ Experience with SQL Server Agent Jobs and its troubleshooting
+ Experience managing database asset within a source control system (i.e.TFS, Perforce, SVN, CVS, Visual Source Safe)
+ A strong understanding of the SQL Server database engine works, including but not limited to: Physical storage, indexing, physical database design best practices, and have a good understanding of the Query Optimizer.
+ A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and, specifically, what activities and artifacts a database developer has in each part of that lifecycle
+ Experience with tools as offered by Red Gate, Quest software, Embarcadero and/or Erwin etc.
+ Details-driven personality with a strong desire to develop and document processes and tools
+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and ensure tasks are completed on schedule
